- Close to the cruise port | The Renaissance Seaport is super nice but prices well for a big city, and includes some local attractions tickets with their destination fee amenities, including the Old Town Trolley. And you can catch the transfer trolley right down from the hotel.
- Canopy Hilton and the area was perfect before a cruise. Right by north end and Quincy market area, great base for walking to everything but also the trains are easy to use so technically it’s easy to get around from anywhere

Cruises
Cruise Port Information: Boston (Flynn Cruiseport/ Black Falcon Cruise Terminal)
Boston serves as a seasonal cruise port, primarily for New England/Canada itineraries and repositioning cruises. It works well for clients who want to pair a city stay with a cruise, especially in the fall.
Black Falcon is the original name, and the port was renamed in 2017 to Flynn Cruiseport Boston. Both names are still used, but they mean the same place.Â
Port Location
-
Located in South Boston, about 10–15 minutes from downtown Boston (traffic dependent)
-
Not walkable from most hotels; transportation is required
Best Airport for Cruisers
-
Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) – 10–15 minutes from the port
-
Easy domestic and international access
-
Short transfer times compared to most U.S. cruise ports
Transportation & Parking
-
Uber/Lyft and taxis are the most common transfer options
-
Cruise parking is available at or near the terminal
-
Private transfers are useful for groups or early embarkation times
Best Areas for Pre/Post-Cruise Stays
-
Downtown / Waterfront – Central, walkable, easy access to sightseeing
-
Seaport District – Closest hotel concentration to the port; modern and convenient
-
Back Bay – Good option for clients prioritizing shopping, dining, and walkability
Good Fit For
-
New England & Canada cruises (especially fall foliage season)
-
Clients who want a short, easy transfer between city and port
-
Pre/post cruise stays focused on history, food, and walkable sightseeing

- Beacon Hill is the RITZY cobblestoned area of Boston, VERY tight streets but absolutely beautiful. Mid-range clients I’d send them to Waterfront, Seaport District, or Back Bay. North End is where all the Italian food is, make clients aware that these are mostly family run restaurants so they’re open for lunch, close for some time during the mid-day (usually 2pm-4:30ish), then open again for dinner. STAY AWAY FROM Jamaica Plain, Mattapan, Roxbury, and Dorchester at all costs. Especially Jamaica Plain. These areas are NOT recommended for visitors.
- North End Food! Mike’s Pastries for CANOLIS and half moon cookies it’s cash only but there’s a Citizen’s Bank ATM across the street | Tresca for Italian food
